The first workshop
August 12, Tuesday, 9.30am to 12noon
The first workshop we held was at Family Toraore. Mr Toraore is known as Donzo (a hunter and a sherman) and lives about 10 mins away from the center by foot. We headed to his house with all the materials nervously although we did a test run of the workshop the day before to go over with the procedure.

A project member, Mariko Tomomasa, was in charge of organizing this rubbing workshop originated in the east Asia long time ago. Participants used their daily objects to make rubbings.

The family members took rubbing of precious objects and their treasures.

Women in the family were also enthusiastic about the workshop.

Once the rubbings were done, they cut them into pieces and made a large collage together. They were contemplating on what to make...

It slowly came along.

A big brave elephant appeared!
