Between art and science is a unique illustrated reference book made by a biologist, Guglielmo Maglio, a cultural anthropologist, Shiho Hattori, and an artist, Naho Yokoya with collaborations with the different field specialists. We focused on unique creatures, passed down legends, daily customs, and histories of an each selected place and scooped up matters that might have disappeared any time otherwise. These discreet, unrecorded stories were delivered in the format of a beautifully bounded illustrated reference book written in Japanese, English, and Italian. It also enclosed a book leaf with plant leaf from Naples, the documentation of the exhibition at Citta della scienza, and a memo of the unexpected outcome of this project and the museum. Please take a look at the illustrated art book distilled with so many essence from biology and cultural anthropology.
